AUSTIN, Texas — A state representative is getting a lot of feedback over his bill to bring back a longtime Texas rivalry.

  • Rep. Lyle Larson filed the bill Tuesday
  • Bill would require a game between Longhorn and Aggies on Thanksgiving Day
  • Larson says the bill opens up a conversation

Lyle Larson filed House Bill 412 on Tuesday. He says the bill will start the negotiating process to revive the renowned Texas A&M and University of Texas Thanksgiving Day football game.

Larson says he has received bipartisan support for the bill.

The Longhorns took on the Aggies as tradition for nearly 100 years before Texas A&M switched conferences in 2012.
