SAN ANTONIO -- Savawn Kyle, 23, didn't appear to be too concerned about his arrest for the murder of 29-year-old Renard Smith as we was taken in by police.

On Friday, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Kyle on capital murder charges.

Police say Kyle shot Smith back in October over money. Smith later died at the hospital.

It happened at Midcrown Convenience Store. The store turned over its surveillance footage, which police shared with the public, which eventually lead to Kyle's arrest.

"Sometimes the situations our detectives run into getting information, getting people to cooperate. In this particular case, the community came through for us and helped us out by calling Crime Stoppers and giving the information we needed," said Officer Douglas Greene.

Officers say Kyle was taken into custody without incident.

As SAPD was leading Kyle to the Bexar County Jail, he told Spectrum News, "Ya'll need to go get that mix tape."
