TEXAS — Elon Musk has plans to build a private airport outside of Austin, according to a report by Austonia

It has not been made clear as to when and where exactly this development will be housed. However, the airport is reported to be located east of Austin, closer to Bastrop.

The airport wouldn't just be for Musk's private travel, it would also serve as an airfield for his executives and possibly his companies that are here in Texas already, such as SpaceXTesla and The Boring Company.

How big the private airport will be has not been confirmed, but Musk has sizeable amounts of property in Texas already, even making his Tesla Gigafactory on Tesla Road the company's global headquarters.

At the end of 2021, Musk officially moved Tesla's headquarters to Austin.

To build the private airport, Musk would still need approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.
