GEORGETOWN, Texas — The Red Poppy Festival that usually takes place in spring at “The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas” in Georgetown annually has been modified for the fall season. On Oct. 1-3, 2021, the free festival, called POPPtoberfest in recognition of the autumn festival dates, will feature live music, a Kid’s Fun Zone, food vendors and artisan booths.
POPPtoberfest kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. and will feature an opening night concert with festival vet Dysfunkshun Junkshun. It will continue on Saturday at 10 a.m. with local acts and a car show. The evening will also close with a concert from headliner Dale Watson. There will be a pet parade on Sunday for those attending to show off their furry friends.
