AUSTIN, Texas – The annual ATX Black Food Week is going big to promote Black-owned restaurants in the Austin area.

  • Event goes from Aug. 24 - Sept. 13

  • Promotes local Black-owned restaurants

  • New this year: an entire week promoting food trucks

The event, hosted by the Austin Justice Coalition, is celebrating its fourth year and according to organizers, it’s going to be even “bigger and better” than before.

This year, there will actually be three weeks of food, two weeks promoting Black-owner brick-and-mortar restaurants and then a week dedicated to Black-owned food trucks.

Participants are encouraged to wear masks and social distance but organizers are making it easy this year but noting which restaurants have delivery and take-out options.
