LA VERNIA, Texas -- Flowers are already in bloom at one Texas farm. Texas-Tulips has opened a second location in La Vernia. The other spot is near Dallas.

  • Texas-Tulips opens location in La Vernia
  • Open 7 days a week
  • Each tulip $2.50

There are just a few rows open now, but still plenty of tulips to pick for opening day. More will bloom within the next few weeks.

Texas-Tulips was the perfect place for sweet Serafina to celebrate her first birthday.

“So we came here because of all the pretty flowers and we obviously likes flowers." said Christina Sullivan, Serafina's mom. "I put flowers all over her and I’m going to stick her in a garden to take some pictures of her.”

San Antonio is mom's home town, but now the family lives in the desert in New Mexico.

The kids enjoyed the flowers.

“Did you get mud? It’s not sand for once,” said Sullivan.

It was a fun change from the dirt and rocky landscape.

“Every time she sees trees or green grass she get really excited,” said Sullivan.

If you want to make memories or get the perfect Instagram pic, Texas-Tulips will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through early March.

There is an entry fee and each tulip you pick is $2.50.
