AUSTIN, Texas – After watching her friend battle Stage 3 breast cancer, an Austin entrepreneur is looking to help other women going through similar experiences.

When Allison Schickel’s friend underwent a mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Schickel said she saw a need for clothing that would allow female patients to have more dignity while they were in treatment.

That is where the idea for the “Brobe” came from. It is a bra and robe combination designed to allow women recovering from a mastectomy a more comfort and independence.
