AUSTIN, Texas – A new MetroRapid stop is now open at the iconic Broken Spoke dance hall on South Lamar.

With this new bus stop, people will be able to ride the MetroRapid service directly to the historic Austin dance hall. MetroRapid runs every 10 minutes on week days and every 15 minutes on weekends.

The historic dance hall has had countless celebrity guests over the years including Clint Eastwood, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Claire Danes, Willem Dafoe, and Fergie.

Harry Connick Jr also used the spot to unwind and play music while he filmed the movie Hope Floats.

The Broke Spoke has called South Lamar home since 1964. The venue offers dance lessons, live music, beer, and southern delicacies.
