AUSTIN, Texas — Central Texas is under a slight risk of severe weather Saturday.

  • Potential for hail and damaging winds
  • Most activity during mid-afternoon hours

Meteorologist Kelly Slifka says storms that are brewing to the west of us will reach the Interstate 35 corridor by Saturday afternoon.

A toronado watch has been issued for Central Texas until 8 p.m. Saturday.

Most of the storm activity is expected to occur during the mid-afternoon hours.

There is a potential for large hail and damaging winds.

Rain chances should taper off as we head into the evening hours.
