AUSTIN, Texas -- Actress Lily Collins lights up screens big and small.

She's in the current Netflix movie about Ted Bundy, a new PBS mini-series of Les Misérables, and she plays the college sweetheart turned wife of famed fantasy writer J.R.R. Tolkien in an illuminating feature film called Tolkien. It's new in theaters this weekend.

As the daughter of music superstar Phil Collins she has a unique perspective that connects interest in the Alamo with the man who wrote The Lord of Rings.

Spectrum News's Victor Diaz talked with Collins about what her father's passion for the Alamo has in common with Tolkien.
