GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas -

5:00 p.m. UPDATE: The Guadalupe County Fire Marshal’s Office reported that the fire was extinguished and there were no injuries. Authorities said the cause of the fire was due to an unattended control burn pile located on an adjacent property.

3:45 p.m. UPDATE: According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff Office, the fire is contained.

A wildfire is threatening a hazardous materials facility near Seguin.

That’s according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The wildfire is near Huber Road and FM 1101. 

The Guadalupe County Fire Marshal’s Office is enacting voluntary evacuations within a one-mile radius around the fire site in case the facility is ignited.

Officials say people should avoid the area until the fire is out.
