SAN ANTONIO – A teen was shot while stopping for a late-night meal at a fast-food restaurant on the Northwest Side.

- Suspects fled the scene
Police said a 17-year-old was shot at the Whataburger off De Zavala and Interstate 10 around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.
According to report, the teen and a passenger pulled into the Whataburger parking lot. Another vehicle pulled up next to them. When the teen was getting of his vehicle, one suspect also got out of their vehicle. The suspect demanded the teen's backpack. The teen handed it over and the suspect then shot him in the leg.
The teen was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures.
The suspects fled in a vehicle down De Zavalla.
