Police say a warrant has been issued for 19-year-old Richard Vincent Blythe. He is wanted for injury to a child/serious bodily injury. He is a white male, five feet six inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. His last known address was in Kyle.

According to police, in November 2018, they were contacted by Dell Children’s hospital to investigate the child’s injuries. Doctors said the child suffered skull fractures, broken ribs and several lacerations to the liver. Many of the injuries were in different stages of healing.

After a two-month investigation and interviews with the mother, Child Protective Services, and doctors at Dell Children’s Hospital, police issued a warrant for Blythe’s arrest. The baby is still hospitalized.

Several attempts by police to locate Blythe have been unsuccessful and U.S. Marshals are actively assisting in apprehending him.
