AUSTIN, Texas -- The 25th annual community march and rally honoring the life of Martin Luther King Jr. will begin at UT Austin and proceed to the Huston-Tillotson University campus.

  • March starts at 9 a.m.
  • Begins at MLK Statue on East Mall
  • Ends at Huston-Tillotson University campus

The march begins at 9 a.m. near the MLK statue on the East Mall of the UT Austin campus.

Following the march, events and entertainment will continue until 3 p.m. on the Huston-Tillotson University campus. The event will include a performance by Innervisions, along with the winner of the MLK Oratory Contest from an area public school. This year, participants are asked to bring canned goods or nonperishable items for donation to the Capital Area Food Bank. Donation receptacles will be available at UT Austin and Huston-Tillotson University.
