AUSTIN, Texas -- The Austin Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry Unit is organizing a log pickup for community members wanting large logs for art projects or milling.

• Limit of one log per person
• Event takes place on Friday, January 4, 2019
• Participants will need to sign a waiver

The event will take place on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Community members are responsible for all loading and hauling of the logs. Austin Parks and Recreation staff members will be available to cut logs down to size if needed. There will only be one log per participant on event day only.

A liability waiver will need to be completed before anyone can take a log with them. The waivers will be available on site.

Inclement weather could prevent the program from taking place as normally scheduled. This event will be removed from the city calendar if cancelled.
