ROUND ROCK, Texas – A suspect is in custody after a brief car chase involving deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

• Incident began as a traffic stop in Round Rock
• Car chase turned into a pursuit on foot
• Stolen weapons found in car


According to Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody, the incident began after authorities attempted a traffic stop in the Round Rock area near McNeil.

The driver refused to stop and police began a brief pursuit began before the suspect got out of the car and fled on foot. He was apprehended by deputies at Wild Wood and Creek View in the Round Rock area.

Stolen weapons were found in the trunk of the vehicle.
