SAN ANTONIO – Volunteers are transforming the home of an Army veteran as a thank you for her service.

  • Volunteers repairing veteran's home
  • Honoring Ana Medlock for her service
  • Soldiers' Angels offer help for veterans

Work will begin at 8 a.m. to make repairs to the home of Ana Medlock, who served in the Army. She is being honored for her service by Wells Fargo and a group called Soldiers’ Angels.

Medlock is one of four veterans who will have her home cleaned up and renovated. The group Soldiers' Angels look for veterans who are in need of assistance and work to make a difference in their lives.

Over the weekend Medlock had the chance to go to a local hardware store and pick out materials, like backsplash and paint for her home.

"We'll be doing some outside work like cleaning up the yard, tearing down some trees. We'll be doing home repairs inside. There are a lot of holes in the walls. Repainting, refurbishing to give Ana a better home," said Louie Guzman, a volunteer with Soldiers’ Angels.

Soldiers’ Angels also deliver food to veterans in need.
