ODESSA, Texas — A 78-year-old man sitting in prison in Odessa, Texas, may be among the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history, according to the FBI.

Seventy-eight-year-old Samuel Little says he's killed 90 people, and has been linked to an additional four cases. So far, The Texas Rangers and federal investigators have confirmed 34.

According to the confession, Little says he's killed women in states from California to Florida between 1970 and 2005, including two cold cases in Houston and Wichita Falls.

The FBI is working with the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance, the Texas Rangers, and dozens of state and local agencies to match Little’s confessions with evidence in those cases.
