AUSTIN, Texas — A local Austin high school is competing at a regional band competition this weekend, and they got a special shout out from Ryan Reynolds.
In the video, he says the Bowie Bulldogs are his favorite OPE, or outdoor performing ensemble band.
The school says a parent of one of the band member's is on the crew of Reynold's next movie.
They brought the band t-shirt with them, and asked Reynolds to record the message.
Bowie High School is performing at the Bands of American Houston Regional Championship this weekend.
