AUSTIN, Texas — There’s no doubt about it, tacos are an Austin staple.

Oct. 4 marks National Taco Day, and whether they’re on corn or a flour tortilla, it’s hard to find a taco in Austin that isn't delicious.

In honor of the honorary holiday, several spots around town are giving away or offering deals on Austinite’s favorite food.

Chuy’s - If you want to get extra festive, stop by the restaurant dressed as a taco. Post a photo on Facebook with #NationalTacoDay and get a free meal.

Cyclone Anaya’s - Guests can get regular crispy rotisserie chicken tacos or regular crispy beef tacos for just $1.

Fresa’s - From 8-10 a.m. at either its First Street or North Lamar location, people can either grab one of the "Favorite" or "Classic" options.

Fuzzy’s - All day long, the restaurant will be serving $1 tacos.

Taco Bell - Although some question its authenticity, the restaurant chain is selling a four-taco gift set for just $5.

Taco Cabana -Today, get a free shredded chicken or ground beef taco. 

Taco Ranch - In honor of its second location grand opening at 517 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, the first 100 people in line can get free breakfast tacos

Torchy’s Taco’s - The Taco chain is surprising guests with the chance to win free tacos. Five guests at each location that receive their order in a gold lined paper basket on National Taco Day can claim a gift card for up to $300.
