AUSTIN, Texas -- Local staple Threadgill’s will be closing its doors at the end of November.

The restaurant’s owner, Eddie Wilson, announced the news on Facebook Wednesday, citing high property taxes.

Wilson said their final day will be Nov. 30 and invited everyone to enjoy some live music and have Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant before they close. Threadgill's has called the corner of Riverside and Barton Springs home for more than 30 years.

Threadgill’s Old No. 1, located on North Lamar Boulevard, will remain open.
