WIMBERLEY, Texas – A Texas teen who died in a utility task vehicle crash has been identified.
On Sept. 2 at 3:30 p.m., 16-year-old Cooper David Potts was riding as a passenger on a UTV Polaris RZR on Farm to Market 2325.
The driver lost control of the UTV causing it to roll over into a retention pond. According to the Hays County Sheriff Office, Potts drowned in the pond.
The Travis County Medical Examiner determined Potts’ cause of death was drowning.
Potts was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
