LUBBOCK, Texas – As parents are lassoing kids in from summer break, one four-legged local joined students heading back to school.

Along with the sounds of students returning to classrooms, spurs could be heard in the halls accompanied by the familiar clip-clop of a Lubbock ISD tradition.

Every year a cowboy walks a horse named Fancy through Hutchinson Middle School to greet the teachers and students for the new school year.
