AUSTIN, Texas – Travelers will now be able to take a bite out of one of Austin’s food staples at the airport.

Hut’s Hamburgers has been filling the bellies of Austinites since 1939. The first restaurant was opened on South Congress Avenue.

The Texas-raised beef burgers will be available at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport this year. The new location is currently under construction.

Other iconic items from Hut’s include old-fashioned milkshakes, longhorn beef, chicken-fried steak, vegan burgers and tacos.

Concessionaire Paradies Lagardère will run the ABIA Hut’s location.

Auntie Anne’s is also closing at the airport to make room for MAD Greens. The healthier food option will include grain bowls, vegan options, and raw foods.
