SANTA FE, Texas — The FBI tweeted the total number of people injured has risen to 13. Initially it was reported 10 people were killed and 10 people injured.

Santa Fe Independent School District held a press conference to give updated information about school closures and services available for the community.

Superintendent Dr. Leigh Wall said the school will be closed Monday and Tuesday to allow people time to grieve.

Students and staff have been able to go into the school on a limited basis to collect their valuables and cars.

School, government and law enforcement official asked the community to continue to pray for Santa Fe. The Red Cross has opened up a family assistance center at Aldersgate united Methodist Church.

The suspect is being held without bond and is charged with one count of capital murder and two counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer.
