SAN ANTONIO – A homicide suspect said she has no regrets while she was arrested, accused of killing 20-year-old Briana De La Cruz.

Paola Perez, 29, stoically walked to the police car overnight on Tuesday. When Perez was asked if she regretted her actions or had any remorse, she replied “no.”

Cruz’s body was found by a truck driver on March 29 on the city's Southeast Side.

Perez is believed to be one of the two people responsible for Cruz’s death. Kedreen Marque Pugh, 30, was arrested on April 4 after he was tracked down by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

San Antonio police said Perez and Pugh shot Cruz over money.

Perez has been booked at the Bexar County Jail.
