AUSTIN, Texas – A man in his 20s is dead after an overnight shooting in South Austin on East William Cannon Boulevard.

Police were called to Willowbrook Apartments, on the 412 block of East William Cannon around 1:45 a.m. after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Isaac Christopher Morey, age 19, with gunshot wounds in an apartment.
According to police, a group of friends gathered at an apartment. While there, some of the friends arranged for a marijuana exchange between two other parties.
In exchange for arranging the transaction, the friends would receive compensation.
Morey was contacted and he agreed to drive to the apartment to deliver the marijuana. The purchaser of the marijuana arrived at the apartment a short time later and entered.
After the purchaser entered the apartment, two other men followed him inside pointing firearms at everyone inside. The men demanded the marijuana from Morey. Morey compiled and handed over the marijuana.
The three men went to exit the apartment, when one of the men stopped and fired at Morey, striking him.
One of the three men used a Snapchat account user name of king_tlee59 with vanity name that appears as Lil Trouble B. See image below:
Morey was transported to South Austin Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 2:18 a.m.
Investigators are speaking with witnesses who are providing detectives with details about the shooting. Based on preliminary accounts, this appears to be an isolated incident.
The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy Wednesday.
