AUSTIN, Texas – One person was killed and two people were injured after a downtown Austin crash early Monday morning.

Around 3 a.m. a pin-in collision was reported on the 700 block of East Cesar Chavez Street. Austin/Travis County EMS discovered a total of four people at the scene.

First-responders immediately began CPR on one of the victims, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Dean Michael Hood.

Two other people, a man and woman in their 20s, were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. Authorities said the man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and the woman has charged with charged with DWI.
