AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-based Rep. Michael McCaul said in an interview Monday morning that one of the suspected bomber's roommates is still being considered a person of interest.

"It's hard to believe a roommate not having some knowledge of that. Perhaps he didn't. If he did have knowledge of it, he had a duty to report that to law enforcement and he also, if he had knowledge and did nothing he's complicit to a conspiracy," McCaul said.

McCaul told Fox News that authorities are now focusing on if that roommate knew Conditt was making weapons at the home in Pflugerville, located northeast of Austin.

Authorities initially said they had questioned the two roommates but neither were considered a suspect and both were released.

McCaul has also said the roommate could face prosecution if he knew what the bomber was up to.
