FLORIDA -- A photo of Parkland survivor and gun control activist Emma Gonzalez tearing up the constitution is fake.
The initial image was from a Teen Vogue shoot highlighting #MarchForOurLives activists, where Gonzalez was ripping a paper target.
The altered image began making its way around social media in the form of a GIF.
Both Teen Vogue's executive edtior, Samhita Mukhopadhyay and chief content officer, Phillip Picardi, have decried the altered image on social media.
This comes after Gonzalez spoke at the Washington D.C. #MarchForOurLives rally.
