AUSTIN, Texas — A bomb threat forced a SXSW event to be canceled Saturday.

According to the Austin Police Department, they were contacted by Live Nation Music after the company received the bomb threat in an email.

The threat was targeting the location where Live Nation was hosting “Bud Light x The Roots & Friends” showcase on Saturday.

Police then checked the event area and cleared it.

However, Bud Light decided to cancel the event, citing safety. Shortly after, Austin Police arrested 26-year-old Trevor Ingram on terroristic threat charges, a third-degree felony. SXSW took to Twitter to also apologize to attendees for the inconvenience.

Austin police said this is not related to the string of package bombs that have happened around the city.
