AUSTIN, Texas - The annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot raised $325,000 this year to help prevent and end homelessness in Austin.

The owners of ThurderCloud presented the check to Caritas of Austin on Wednesday. Caritas of Austin aid the money will help more than a hundred families, provide more than 67,000 meals and perhaps help more than 500 people get a job.

In the past 27 years, ThunderCloud has raised a combined $3.4 million for Caritas.

ThunderCloud said more than 20,000 people took part in the Thanksgiving five-mile run this year.
