AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Civic Orchestra held its annual Holiday Concert on Sunday.

The Austin Homegrown show featured Christmas classics like "Sleigh Ride" and "White Christmas."

Choirs from St. Edwards University and Austin Community College teamed up to perform pieces by local composers.

“Our season-long theme this year is ‘Made in America.’ We are featuring American composers throughout our season this year,” said Gus Sterneman, assistant conductor at the Austin Civic Orchestra. “And so we have two local Austin area composers, Dan Welcher and Donald Grantham.”

“It’s always a pleasure for the orchestra to feature local composers and perform with musicians from our community,” said ACO Music Director Lois Ferrari.
