STATEWIDE — iFly is taking those with special needs to new heights.

In honor of National Disabilities Day, the skydiving operator gave Special Olympic athletes a thrilling flight.

All Abilities Night was the final event in a month-long partnership dedicated to raising money for Texas Special Olympics.

Each flyer got the opportunity to step inside the wind tunnel and experience the rush of skydiving.

Organizers say the "All Abilities" flight allows athletes to experience an activity at new heights.

"As a community we need to stick together as a community. Being able to support those with adaptive needs is paramount to us,” said Anna Griffin with iFly

This is the third time iFly has hosted the event with Special Olympics.
