AUSTIN, Texas - Rainforests are known for their lush, green canopy of trees, high rainfall rates, and wide biodiversity.  Not exactly what you think of when you think Texas, right?

Fortunately, you don't have to close your eyes to imagine being in the Amazon as a similar experience can be enjoyed in Austin on Thursday night.

For one night only, the non-profit Rainforest Partnership holds its annual fundraiser event at 800 Congress to raise money and awareness for rainforest protection.

It happens on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 6:30-10:30 p.m.

Tickets include dinner, drinks and live music.
