AUSTIN, Texas - Neighbors in the Mueller subdivision set out on Sunday to remind drivers to slow down and drive safe.

I Drive 25 is the initiative started by the neighbors in Mueller to keep their streets safe for pedestrians and children. The goal is to stop drivers from unsafe driving habits like speeding, rolling stops and texting and driving.

Organizers say with the new developments around Mueller, drivers have to be mindful of pedestrians at all times.

"We're really just trying to get people to think when they're driving is such a pedestrian-heavy area, and this just doesn't apply to our neighborhood. I mean this applies to all neighborhoods in Austin where there are neighborhood streets. People need to be cautious," said Kathy Sokolic, co-creator of the Mueller I Drive 25 initiative.

Neighbors say they plan to keep their signs as a constant reminder to Drive 25.
