Immediately after sunset, be on the lookout for the beautiful, bright Full Harvest Moon of October as it rises over the eastern horizon.

Why do we call it the harvest moon?  Historically, natives of North America would use the light of the full moon this time of year to hunt and gather food for the upcoming winter.
