The man who was shot by an officer in a Waco grocery store earlier this week has died from his injuries.
A man allegedly tried to shoplift some brisket from an H-E-B on Tuesday.
"As they attempted to handcuff that individual, that individual started fighting our two officers. During that fight, a suspect pulled out a knife and attempted to threaten the officers,” Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said.
According to police, after one officer unsuccessfully used a stun gun on the man, another shot the suspect two times.
The suspect later died at the hospital from his injuries. Police are still investigating.
