Supporters of defunding Planned Parenthood rallied on the Capitol steps Tuesday morning.

The rally was one of many held across the country after an anti-abortion group released secret videos showing Planned Parenthood officials talking about tissue donation from aborted fetuses. The group claims Planned Parenthood was selling them for profit – something Planned Parenthood denies.

Texas Alliance for Life organized what it calls the Women Betrayed Rally. The group says it hopes the idea of defunding Planned Parenthood gains attention and they want women to know there are other health care options.

"There are a lot of different clinics that have been made available by the state of Texas to provide comprehensive health care for women in addition to not forcing them or encouraging them to engage in abortion,” Corey Tabor with Austin LifeCare said.

Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered an investigation into Planned Parenthood. No Texas-based Planned Parenthoods offer tissue donation, so it's unclear what the investigation will entail.

When asked, the attorney general's office said it could not comment on a pending investigation.
