The city's public transit system will run on slower schedules Monday in observance of Christmas.

The MTA will operate on a Sunday schedule, with no service on the 6, 7, B, M, W, or Z trains. No 5 trains will run in Brooklyn, either.

The New Jersey Path and Metro-North trains will run on Saturday schedules.

However, Metro-North will have a few extra "Shoppers' Special" trains for anyone eager to get back to stores to spend gift money or make returns.

The Long Island Railroad (LIRR), however, will resume its weekday schedule. The LIRR is also offering off-peak pricing all day.
