NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A woman from Ohio visiting Niagara Falls is recovering after she was hit by a flying trash can.
Niagara Falls police say the woman and her family were walking down Rainbow Boulevard when someone dropped a 50 gallon trash can full of trash from the top of a parking ramp right on top of her.
She was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
"We weren't sure of the injuries at first but we found out she sustained a broken clavicle and possibly a concussion but nothing more serious than that. Not that that in of itself isn't horrible for a family on vacation, however it could have been worse," said Det. Capt. Kelly Rizzo, Niagara Falls police.
