CLARKSON, N.Y. -- Efrain Lopez-Contreras, 30, pleaded guilty to multiple charges on Tuesday after he fatally injured a teenage girl in a crash on Christmas Eve of 2015.
Contreras faced aggravated vehicular homicide, manslaughter, assault and aggravated DWI charges.
He had a BAC nearly three times the legal limit when he crossed the center line and hit a car head on in Clarkson.
Giana Bartolucci, 14, was killed in the other car and her father, Pastor Tony Bartolucci, was injured.
The two had been on their way to pick up a Christmas tree at the time of the crash.
Lopez-Contreras faces between 6 to 18 years in prison, and then deportation to Mexico after his term is up.
Sentencing is expected next month.
