Closing Date of Macy's at the Mar­ket­place Mall Of­fi­cially Revealed

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A listing on the state's labor department website says 101 employees will be let go when Macy's at the Marketplace Mall officially closes on April 18.

That is more than the company originally claimed last week.

Going-out-of-business sales were slated to begin this week.

The company said the closure was a cost-cutting measure.

Macy's took over Sibley's, which had been at the location since the early 1980s.
