ORLANDO, Fla. — Florence is quickly moving across the eastern Ohio Valley and headed into the Northeastern/New England states Monday night into Tuesday.

Florence has been downgraded into post-tropical storm.

Florence

The rain leftover from Florence spreads across Pennsylvania, New York, up into southern New England tonight into tomorrow before moving out to sea Wednesday.

Flash flood watches are in effect for portions of the Northeast, with 2-4 inches and isolated 6-inch amounts possible from Virginia and Maryland into southern New York and all of Massachusetts.

Even though Florence is moving away from the Carolinas, flooding issues will remain for days. Flash flood and flood warnings continue across the mid-Atlantic region.

Swells generated by Florence have been impacting the southeastern US, including Florida.  While wave heights continue to drop, a high risk of rip currents will stick around through mid-week here in the Sunshine State.

Joyce

Joyce is holding on as a weak tropical depression in the eastern Atlantic. It is located 300 miles south of the Azores.

Winds remain at 35 mph. This system will stay over open waters and will become a remnant area of low pressure tomorrow.

Elsewhere

Elsewhere in the tropics, the remnants of Isaac will produce gusty winds and occasionally heavy rain while moving westward across the central and western Caribbean during the next few days.

There are no other areas of concern for right now.

Atlantic hurricane season runs through Nov. 30.
