Scholar Athlete: Del Valle's Karina Sanchez

Karina Sanchez is the definition of a Scholar Athlete because she excels at both.

Last year, as a Junior pitcher for Del Valle, she was first-team All-district.

As great a feat as it was Karina says, being academic All-district as well means even more to her.

She’s been able to balance being the Cardinals top pitcher, her AP classes, and a 4.6 GPA, one of the best in her class of 500.

She’s a great role model for her three little sisters, and already has big plans for the whole family.

From there, Karina wants to transfer to a Division 1 school and fulfill her dream of playing Division 1 softball.
