Nicolette Perdomo is a bilingual multimedia journalist for Spectrum News 1 Texas. Nicolette is a passionate and empathetic storyteller who creates captivating messages that allow the audience to feel a connection and find inspiration in their community, all while providing the most up-to-date information.

Nicolette was born and raised in Miami, Florida and studied telecommunications at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She’s a big Gator football fan!

Nicolette formerly worked as an anchor and multimedia journalist for KAMC News in Lubbock, Texas. She covered several different topics, including the deaths of two Lubbock first responders killed in the line of duty, the Midland/Odessa mass shooting, the resolution of the Zoe Campos murder case, and Texas Tech University’s March Madness success and the subsequent post-game riots. 

She then went on to be a morning reporter at NBC2 in Fort Myers, Florida, where she covered multiple breaking news events, including the 12-story condominium collapse in Surfside, the devastation following an EF2 tornado in Fort Myers, and the challenges faced by community members and healthcare workers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. 

She is now enjoying her time exploring the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. In her free time, Nicolette enjoys reading books, being outdoors, spending time with her dogs, and learning new skills — including baking sourdough bread. Fun fact about her, Nicolette owns more than 20 plants and is always willing to add more to her collection.
