ERIE, P.A. — President Donald Trump held a rally Tuesday in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The president and Air Force One landed and took off in the runway at the Erie Airport, right behind the stage.

Trump spoke on several topics including coal, fracking, his COVID-19 response, and the economy.

"In my first three years, we increased family income over $6,000, listen to this, more than five times the gains under the eight years under the previous administration," Trump said. "African American unemployment, Hispanic American unemployment, and Asian American unemployment all reached their lowest levels in the history of our country," he said.

Erie has been a favorite spot of President Trump over the years, as he has held multiple events in the city since 2016.

Pennsylvania went to Trump four years ago by a narrow margin  — less than one percentage point.

A lot of Western New Yorkers made the trek down to Erie to show their support, knowing that Pennsylvania is a battleground state, and that New York usually goes to the Democratic ticket in the presidential election.

"I’ve been watching every rally, every night," Peg Pajak from Buffalo said. "He’s entertaining, he’s fun, he’s uplifting, and it’s just a really good time."

"I’m sick of the gloom and doom," Gemma Minihan of Buffalo added. "I want to hear about our future and our incredible economy that’s gonna come back again under his leadership. I just want him to talk to him because he is like a friend."
