1. Buildings destroyed, trees uprooted after storms produce tornadoes in Wisconsin Thursday
At least nine tornadoes touched down in the Badger State during Thursday night storms, the National Weather Service confirmed. The storm caused widespread damage across areas in Dodge County, including Mayville and Juneau.

2. Federal grand jury indicts Wisconsin judge in immigration case, allowing charges to continue
A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Wisconsin judge accused of helping a man evade immigration authorities, allowing the case against her to continue. The arrest of Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan escalated a clash between President Donald Trump’s administration and local authorities over the Republican’s sweeping immigration crackdown.
3. 5 people die from blaze that forced residents to jump from Milwaukee apartment building windows
Five people died following an intense fire that engulfed a four-story apartment building in Milwaukee on Mother's Day. The fire was reported about 8 a.m. Sunday at the 85-unit building. Officials said some residents were forced to jump to escape the flames and smoke. The building did not have a sprinkler system and was built in 1968, predating a law that would have required one.
Romance scams are among the world's fastest-growing frauds. According to Nasdaq Verafrin, a financial crime management company, in 2023, $3.8 billion was lost to romance scams and other confidence schemes. One Wisconsin woman recently lost the fourth-largest amount of money in the U.S. to a romance scam.
5. Green Bay Packers 2025 NFL season schedule is here
The schedule features eight home games and nine road games, kicking off with a season opener at home against the Detroit Lions. It's the first time the Packers will open at home since 2018. It's also the earliest regular-season game at Lambeau Field since 2003, when the Packers' season opener was on Sept. 7.
