LOS ANGELES — Members of the public were able to view the voting process and ballot processing at polling places and vote centers.
At the Orange County Registrar of Voters, extra monitors, floor areas and other accommodations were added in time for Super Tuesday for poll monitors and election observers to watch all parts of the process.
Spectrum news spoke with Sheryl Long, a retired family medicine doctor, who volunteered for the first time to be a poll monitor.
Her first stop was the Orange County Registrar of Voters in Santa Ana.
Chapman University Professor of Political Science John Compton also discusses the role election observers play in elections and whether the process is safe and secure.
