DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio — The man who was charged with the aggravated murder of a Morrow County sheriff's deputy was released from the hospital on Saturday.

Officials had issued a warrant for Brian Michael Wilson, 53, of Morrow County, for the death of Morrow County Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Sherrer

On Memorial Day, Sherrer, 31, responded to a domestic call south of Marengo along County Road 26. Sheriff John Hinton said in a press conference last week that Sherrer and Wilson exchanged gun fire and both were transported to local hospitals. Sherrer died, but Wilson remained in custody in the hospital.

Upon release, Wilson was booked into the Delaware County Jail and has been placed on suicide watch per protocol with these charges according to officials.

He will be arraigned in Morrow County, but specific dates and times were not released.
